Margaret has acted as live-in carer for my father, John, for much of the last fourteen months. My father is wheelchair bound and unable to move himself, so is totally dependent on his carers for all his needs.

Her role has involved living in my father's house, being on call 24m hours a day, and carrying out domestic and personal care activities including:

Washing and dressing him
Preparing him to get out of bed in the morning
Preparing him for bed at night
Lifting him by hoist onto a commode when needed
Preparing and cooking all meals
Housekeeping and much, much more.

Margaret has been an exceptional carer, and became an integral part of the household. She carried out far more than just the basic tasks and we relied on her entirely. She was capable, thorough, good humoured, sensible and knowledgeable. We were very sorry when she left us to go to Australia, but we have no hesitation in giving her the highest possible recommendation.
